New Intel Processor Vulnerability

As most of you are probably aware, a new security vulnerability has just been identified and is generating a lot of discussion in the technology and security fields.

There are patches available for most vendors, however they do slow down performance. Unfortunately, we do not have any control over the slowdown in performance; this is a byproduct of the patch needed to protect your systems from vulnerability.

As with most vulnerabilities, making sure that the latest updates are in place is the best defense right now. We are actively working with each software vendor to determine the needed patches. We will then test the patches in our test environment here to make certain they won’t cause other adverse effects (Blue Screens, etc.).

After those steps are complete, we will schedule a time period with each client to patch your systems.

Please note, all systems must be left on. If they are not on during your scheduled patch window, you will run the risk of leaving a system unprotected.
